PROBABLY FIRST INTRODUCTORY YEAR MANUFACTURE FOR THE .32WS CARTRIDGE, 1894 OCTAGON RIFLE IN THE 220XXX RANGE, about as early as I've seen for a .32WS chambered 1894 that was introduced in 1902, the serial number on this one would indicate a 1901 manufacture date (no doubt the receiver was in the bin and not used until at least 1902 or later), has the correct "Smokeless Powder" rear sight used only on this model along with a blade/bead front sight, fine aged barrel and mag blue, aged receiver blue mixing heavily plum/brown, exc. screws, fine+ wood with normal light handling marks and tight wood to metal fit, tight action, bore a little dark and frosty, fine appearance and super early without any proof marks as introduced in 1905, attractive uncleaned appearance.
