Description:
A shooter originally 22 WCF rebored to 256 Win Mag and so marked. Bore is very sharp and clear except for some minor pits near chamber. Mechanics are tight and correct. Original buckhorn rear sight w elevator. Barrel has minor pitting externally with signs of a past cleanup/reblue. Action is devoid of finish with some dents and scars. Wood is original, forend cracked but no wood lost, buttstock pinned thru wrist. One tang screw is not original. Would make a good candidate for a refinish with custom engraving and possibly a wood upgrade. Or just shoot it as is ... a very interesting cartridge for medium range varmint work and small deer, about perfect for javelina and eastern woodchucks. Bottom rifle in photos
