Description:
An A.Waters Model 1836 Flintlock  pistol, made for the military and in NRA EXCELLENT condition. They just don't come any nicer than this. There are two clear  inspection cartouches on the left side of the stock and all lettering is sharp. There are just a few very minor marks or dings in the wood. All of the metal is bright steel except for the  flash pan and the front sight which are made of brass. The action is very strong. The hammer holds on full and half cock. There is a captive ramrod. It is estimated that only 20,000 of these  were made between  1837 and 1843. The 8 & 1/2 " barrel is round and .54 caliber. The lock is marked "A.Waters, Milbury, Ms., 1843". There is a "D" forward of the trigger. The left side of the barrel is marked: "U.S.,", "JCB", and "P".

This model in this kind of condition has gone up nicely over the years. A good investment as well as an enjoyable piece of history

This is an antique, so no FFL is required. It may be sent directly to a new proud owner. I hate to part with it, but at 80 years old it is time to part with my treasure ( so says the "boss").
