Description:
Amputation was a common practice in Battlefield Hospitals during the Civil War.  With overwhelming numbers of wounded soldiers, and usually only 1-2 Doctors per regiment, they started using curved knives, that allowed them to cut the flesh quickly and precisely.
This great replica of an amputation Knife is in fair condition with some rust marks on the blade.  The handle has some mild nicks and staining but is in great condition, no splitting.
Knife is unmarked.
