Mauser (Sneak Luger) P.08, Caliber 9 mm, Serial Number 34XX t, Inv 5023.
Well, for the discerning collector here is a genuine 1929-1930 "Sneak Luger". The date and the manufacturers name have arsenal removed and a police sear safety has been added. The right side of the slide is marked Drooping Eagle/WaA66 and the left side Crown/N. There are no other marks on the frame. All parts match including the magazine. The finish is about 97-98% Arsenal blue. There is the usual side plate and sharp edge silvering and some light scattered pinpricks on the grip straps. The front grip strap is stamped M. L. 181, which is believed to be a light machine gun group. The straw is about 97% with some very light, scant pinpricks on the safety. The original wood based magazine is numbered to the gun. The bore is super sharp, mirror bright and shows little if any use. The gun is a super example of an original Sneak Luger. $2495
