U.S. Marked Colt First Model Richards Conversion. Rare gun with the U.S. Markings and Ainsworth Inspection. This gun is well above average compared to how you normally find these. Barrel has a smooth mostly brown patina with blue in protected areas. Strong case colors remain on the frame. Grips are excellent. The U.S. is just to the left of the wedge. A large percentage of these had the U.S. ground off probably for commercial sales. Action works perfect.
