For sale, a nice original Remington Derringer Type 3 (Model #4) in good condition. This was one of Remington's longest running models having been made from 1866 to 1935. There were 6 variations or model changes recognized by collectors today during that 69 year run. This example is a Type 3 meaning that the address line is on top of the barrels and includes "UMC" signifying that it was made after Remington and the Union Metallic Cartridge Co. merged in 1912. The Type 3 was made between 1912 and 1935. This example is serial number L90370, putting it being made sometime in the 1920's. These were very popular little pistols and were carried for self defense. They were small but still packed a large bore punch being chambered for the .41 rimfire. This derringer is very attractive with traces of the original Remington factory blue, solid black plastic grips with no cracks or repairs, and good bores with strong rifling. The barrel hinge, which often you see cracked or repaired, is solid with no hair line cracks or repairs. This pistol functions perfectly and is 100% sound. This attractive little original Remington Derringer would be a great addition to any collection and is priced to sell!
