Sauer and Sohn hammer gun, serial number 200952, has 29.5” fluid steel (Krupp) barrels choked Improved Cylinder (.010) and Full (.035).  The wall thickness (top/side/bottom) for the right barrel at 9” from muzzle is 039/.039/.036 and at the middle of the barrel is .040/.040/.040; the left barrel is .040/.036/.035 and .042/.040/.035, respectively.  Bores 9” from the breach are .725/.725 respectively.  Chambers are 2-3/4”.  The lettering on the top of the barrels is crisp and the bores are bright.  The gun locks up tight and on face.  This shotgun weighs 6 lb 15 oz.  The drop at the comb is 1-7/8” and at the heel 3”.  Length of pull is 14-1/4” from the front trigger to the end of the original checkered horn butt plate.  All serial numbers match.  To better preserve this gun for another century of use, the barrels are properly re-blued using the Belgian blue process and the wood is reconditioned with a hand-rubbed stock oil finish.

The inspection period is 7 days from receipt.  This shotgun has been fired on sporting clays ranges on a number of occasions using standard factory 2-3/4” target loads.  However, as for any vintage shotgun, and especially one over a hundred years old, it is recommended that the new owner have it inspected by a professional gunsmith before firing.  The gun carries a 30-day warrantee, during which we will have any mechanical problems documented by a professional gunsmith repaired or accept the return of the gun and refund the price of the gun and the return shipping cost.  The price does not include shipping costs paid by buyer.  Please do not hesitate to call with questions Stephen Wesbrook, 703-625-4830; Back in Time, LLC  -- preserving late 19th and early 20th Century double shotguns.
