Description:
Most Remington Rolling Blocks were pretty heavy guns. The "Baby" carbine was not. A slim trim light gun with 20" lt wt bbl with short forearm wood. Weighs in at about 5-3/4 lbs. Chambered in 44-40! This "Baby" shows it's age. Mostly a grey with some darker brown age spots on both bbl and frame. Decent rifling but bore has some pitting and roughness and needs a good cleaning. Rolling block mechanism works well. Extractor is missing. Wood is relatively good condition. Buttstock fits nicely to the tangs. Dings, mars and one light hairline crack on the left side coming off the frame. Forearm is about the same with one chip missing on the right side towards the frame. Trigger and hammer function well. Rare gun in a great caliber!
