Description:
Model 1881 40-60 Caliber 28" Octagon barrel with bright shiny bore. Metal surface is very good with clear crisp lettering and sharp checkering on the hammer. The forearm is original to the gun and very clean. The butt has been nicely restocked in a highly figured walnut and fits well to the metal. 1881's are rather scarce with only about 20,000 produced between 1881-1892. Nice antique rifle
