BEAUTIFUL, HIGH CONDITION EXTREMELY EARLY (47TH ONE MADE) THIRD MODEL "PERFECTED" SINGLE SHOT .22 LR TARGET PISTOL, 10" BARREL, MADE 1909, this was the final style of S&Ws single shot target pistol that will fire either single action or double action, they were made from 1909-1923 with only 6,949 produced from serial number 4618-11641 this one is number 4665. Superb overall condition with nearly all the deep bright blue remaining- even on the front strap and bottom of the trigger guard- shows barely any edge wear and one would have to look carefully to find any handling marks from the last 106 years! Exc. sharp checkered correct extension target walnut grips with S&W deep set gold medallions, all matching numbers, exc. bore, tight action, perfect markings, about as nice as one could expect to find especially in such an early one
