Description:
This is a 1 of 1,000 high grade rifle chambered in 30-06 and made for Browning by Miroku of Japan in 1985. The receiver has a satin nickel finish, engraved one of one thousand and serial number hallmark and is beautifully scroll engraved on the receiver with engraved gold animal inlay (moose one side, bear on the other) and a gold trigger. I am the original owner, and this rifle has never been fired, or even outside the house. It has only a couple of very slight handling marks (it is 30 years old and we moved 3 times!) The rifle comes with the original box numbered to the rifle and the original owner’s manual. The box shows wear and surface scuffs from the moves.
The model 1895 made for Browning in 30-06 by Miroku is considered superior to both the original Winchester model of 1895 and the newer Winchester 1895’s recently made by Miroku. This rifle is made with superior modern steel vs. the original Winchester so it avoids the headspace issues caused by the high pressure of 30-06 cartridges experience by the originals, but this rifle still uses the correct John Browning design vs. the newer more recently manufactured Winchester marked rifles that utilize a tang safety and cross bolt design.
