Description:
Serial #69726, .45 ACP and .45 Colt, 7 1/2” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This was originally a British service revolver in .455 and still has visible remnants of the original British Broad Arrow military acceptance markings on the left side of the frame above the cylinder release and the crossed pennants just ahead of the cylinder. The right side of the frame has a later Belgian “*/A” Liege inspector stamp and “L” in flaming bomb proof for Belgian reproofed guns. The metal retains 98-99% of an excellent, commercial blue finish with only minor turn-rings on both cylinders and some very minor silvering along a few of the edges and projections. The revolver has an unmarked replacement, target sight-equipped barrel, S&W style adjustable rear sight, and little-used SILE walnut grips. The mounting hole for the lanyard swivel is now vacant. Also included are two .45 caliber New Service cylinders: one in .45 ACP (currently installed), and on in .45 Colt. The lock-up is tight and the action has been honed to give a crisp pull in both single and double-action. This is a very high quality target revolver and is in excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
