This rare special order revolver features a nickel frame with blued cylinder and barrel (reversed order from the more common "Pinto" variant). The revolver is in overall excellent condition with 98-99% original blue with the only appreciable loss being the mild turn-ring on the cylinder. The original nickel finish is likewise excellent with only a few negligible surface marks present here and there on the frame. The grips are in excellent condition, numbered to the gun on the interior, and have only a few minimal handling marks with a touch of mild flattening to the points. The revolver is housed in its original gray two-piece Bangor Punta box, numbered to the gun on the "N,B" marked end label, along with the original papers, screwdriver, cleaning rod, bore brush, and bore mop. Also included is a 2016 dated Smith & Wesson factory letter that confirms the finish and lists a shipping date of September 16, 1974, to Davidson Supply Co. of Greensboro, NC. These are a seldom seen, and attractive variation of the usual two-tone "Pinto" special order finish, and this example rates excellent condition with superb extras.
