REDUCED Antique plains Indian Buffalo dance rattle with w buffalo horns, brain tanned hide. Great and rare buffalo dance shamans double buffalo horn rattle. Made of wood shaft, which was wrapped many times with brain tanned deer or other hide and originally had bead work over that. The beads are mostly gone except for at the very end of the handle. Two very dark buffalo horns have been attached one to each side by shrunk hide wrapping in the center, with rawhide ties. There are beans of something in the horns that rattle. 22 inches from top of horns to bottom of shaft. Horns from end to end measure about 13 and a quarter inches and the horns bend downwards. I bought this at James D. Julias antique gun in 1998 or 1999. It is extremely rare and very fragile. Definitely authentic and pre reservation. I will have to pack this very carefully as it is very fragile. Really hate to part with this, but need the money. Shipping $39.00 fully insured.
