SOLD! Smith & Wesson Model 37 Chiefs Special Airweight .38 Revolver. With a lightweight alloy frame, the Model 37 was the Airweight version of the Model 36 Chiefs Special. It is a 5-shot, J-frame revolver with color-case hardened hammer and trigger. It has nice checkered wood grips, the firing pin is on the hammer, and there is no lock. (New Smiths have round-butt frames with rubber grips, internal firing pins, and keyed locks that disable the firearm when turned to the lock position.) This S&W Model 37 was my father's everyday carry for his business, which was in a rough part of town. It was manufactured mid to late 1960s, is in good used condition with some handling marks and comes with used belt clip holster, as shown. It would definitely be a nice addition to any Smith & Wesson collection.
