1873 .32-20 OCTAGON RIFLE, MADE 1885, this is a very early manufacture date for the .32-20 as that caliber was introduced only in 1882 and came out of Arizona, an honest uncleaned aged brown barrel and mag tube with some traces of blue in the protected areas, receiver is also an attractive aged brown patina with some blue on the loading gate, fine+ wood with some honest light saddle wear on the bottom of the forend ahead of the receiver, original dust cover- has some deep scratches toward the back end, minor- mellow uncleaned brass lifter with engraved caliber markings, tight action, bore is a little dark with good rifling and some light scattered roughness that ought to clean out better, original sights, correct original butt plate without the trap for cleaning rods as was only used for the .32-20 caliber rifles.
