Description:
A nice British Flintlock with the name TOWER on the lock along with a CROWN over GR.. The 9" smoothbore barrel is in .65 caliber and shows the remains of a brown finish There are no inspector marks visible. . The lock may have been finished as bright steel. The rest of the metal is brass which is in very good condition. The overall length is 15 & 1/2". There is a full walnut stock which is in excellent condition with very few marks on it. The action is strong. The hammer holds at full cock. The frizzen is the roller type. There is a sturdy metal ramrod. This pistol was the type used in the American Revolution. This is referred to as a LIGHT DRAGOON Military Holster Pistol. The overall condition would rate VERY GOOD +.
