A really super example of the Nazi contract marked Astra.. According to Jan Still's book "Axis Pistols" and "Astra pistols" by Leonardo Antaerris, this pistol fall just toward the end of the contract. The contract called for only 3000 pistols. Serial numbered 556001-559000. The gun retains about about 95% of the original factory finish. There is some slight loss on the knurled muzzle collar, some sharp edge silvering, a few scattered pin pricks and some very slight toning of the grip straps. There is no rust, pits, scratches or flaking anywhere. The left side rear has the correct Waffenamt, Eagle/WaA251. All parts, the frame, slide and barrel. All other parts are correct for the gun. The wooden grips are really fine, no chips, splits or flattened points. The left panel has a minute ding at the very bottom. The bolt face and feed ramp show very little use. The bore is super. The rifling is mirror bright and razor sharp. There isn't but the very slightest bit of graying. Like the rest of the gun it shows very little use. The gun comes with one correct Astra marked 300, .380 magazine. There were three Astra modelss the Nazis contracted for, the 300, 400 and 600. We have them presently, especially the very scarce 400. This 300, based on it's "collector grade" condition, is priced very modestly at..... $945.
