Description:
#4995 Colt 1877-D/A “Thunderer”, 3-1/2”x41COLT, 3XXX( 1877, first year of production!!) and being the so called “Storekeeper or Sheriffs Model”, made without ejector. VG action, functioning both on S/A and D/A, and fine bore. Exterior retains about 60-70% original nickel blending in to smooth grey metal with minimal light pitting. VG+ one-piece checkered hard rubber grips that fit well enough, but not perfect, so it is possible that these could be off another gun. However, these are scarce very early style grips and proper for this serial range. Brilliant fire blue still remaing on the back of the hammer and trigger. This is a first year production gun, and overall a VERY decent Thunderer that should make a fine addition to a Colt D/A collection (….especially since the 1877 was the first model of the Colt D/As!!) VG+/Fine as described. $1595
