Tight lock-up and in fine tune with all the “clicks” on the hammer, which is the post-1906 style hammer, so obviously has been replaced at some time in the past. VG smooth metal with a decent total refinish, VG screw heads, correct two-line barrel address, and VG-Fine markings. Fine hard rubber Eagle grips with about 15% wear and overall a very handsome appearance, but it is doubtful they are original grips and they are very slightly oversized on the straps, so are certain to at least be from another revolver. Made in the years of the infamous “Lincoln County Cattle Wars” era, this Colt was probably once the pride of some cowboy …and now has a second life as a decent restored black-powder shooter. Overall a very handsome little short-barreled .45 in above average condition. $2950 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Antique: Yes |
