Description:
Glenn Marshall out-of-this-world camp knife came second right behind Bill Hurt in the tests/evaluation that took place in early 1997. This model was never used or caried, but my friend left it for a while inside the hand-tooled basket weave heavy-duty carrying scabbard, therefore there are marks on blade, which could easily be removed if you have the right  equipment and knowledge.  Blade is a hefty 8-1/2" X 1-3/4". Don't be fooled by its shape along with the knife's handle design-it offers one of the most secure, comfortable, great  balance and handling capabilities I've ever seen on a true " functional" knife-no engraving, no frills, no jargon, no scrimshaw-this knife delivers-it will be with you at the finishing line-guarantee!.The two slab black micarta for the handle are  secured with stainless pins... again don't be distracted and shy away by its shape-it's a winner all the way. This is a full tang constructed knife with fancy file work on the knife's spine.  Glenn died years ago and was one of the nicest makers I've ever encountered. His knives were made to be used, heavy-duty pieces that will not fail you. Can give the magazine article with Marshall's review if you decide to buy the knife-no flaws in its design just pure function and a knife of devastating power. I only wish it came with a longer blade but Glenn told me that since he was doing his own heat-treating, his oven could only accept blades up to 8-3/4" in length. You won't get blisters while using it or discomfort in your hands-the best there is- came second behind Bill Hurt the  "Beast." If you were to be marooned in the wildlerness take this knife with you it will save your life........ What we did during the tests with this model was exceptional. Price below what my friend paid for because of the flaws in the blade.-his only regrets-not to have placed an order immediately upon seeing how incredibly the knife sent for the article performed-this model was made a couple of months after.......the original!
