Description:
This revolver is in excellent condition. The wood Target grips are beautiful. The bluing is very deep, the kind S&W was noted for.
The cylinder is recessed and almost looks unfired as there is hardly a turn line on it and the barrel is pinned. The barrel is 83/8" and excellent and marked 22 Long Rifle.
The frame is stamped 48-2 but it is only 22 long rifle because of the barrel. It was made in 1974 according to Smith as a 17-3 and after that they did not know.
