Description:
Winchester Model 42 field, .410 bore pump action shotgun. 26” plain barrel with full choke. Barrel retains 95% original blue with some light spots of surface rust. Although the side plate has been removed and put back on I believe that the receiver is also original 95-97% condition; the proof mark, the serial number, and all edges remain very sharp, crisp and never buffed or polished. There are some spots of surface rust on the bottom right edge of the frame. What has me guessing a little on the receiver finish is the light "plum" tint to the blue that would indicate a re-blue; but then again this is a last year prodction and "corners" were being cut. The wood has 95-97% original varnish. Fun gun to shoot and getting harder to find.
