Description:
This piece is a Deringer type pistol by maker, John DERINGE, N.Y.C.  This very obsure maker used his name circa 1855-1860 to capitolize on the real Deringer name.  This piece is the finest example of his work that I have seen in my 60 years of collecting deringers. The piece is 5 1/2" overall with a 1 3/4" barrel, mounted with all German Silver fittings, the wood is excellent, sharp checkering.  The hammer, lock, breech and tang, have 90% of the original blue finish.  It is .42 caliber and a super buy at $1,800.00, Free shipping in the USA.
