Description:
This 73 has an oct bbl, full length mag tube and crescent buttplate in 44 WCF. That is the good news. This gun has seen a lot of use and some abuse. All metal is a brown color. Doesn't look too bad. Oddly enough, the left hand side plate is engraved with "Seth A. Goodsen". Appears that Mr. Goodsen got a lot of use out of this fine gift. There are cracks and dings in the wood and a couple of replacement screws. Upper tang is worn so you can hardly see the "Winchester 1873". Missing dust cover and sight elevator. Forearm has chips missing on both sides. Surprisingly there is at least a good bore if not very good and a good action. A good starter gun for a collector since it has all the good stuff except condition.
