Description:
This is a fine example of the early Volcanic repeating pistol, produced by the Volcanic Repeating Arms Company that eventually became the New Haven Arms Company.
This Volcanic has some barrel and magazine color left. These first pistols were made of poured metal creating an issue with maintaining their color. The brass is in excellent condition with very few small nicks. The wood grips are also in fine shape also with some nicks in them.
This is one of approximately 1,200 pistols manufactured with a 6 inch barrel between 1855 and 1857.
