Description:
Serial #62, .41 caliber, 8” part round/part octagon barrel with a very good, freckled bore. This heavy barreled target pistol has an overall dark plum-brown patina with some mild pitting around the nipple and breech end of the barrel. The Allen & Thurber cast steel markings are still crisp and clear on the left side barrel flat and the cupped face of the hammer is chipped along the top. The original rear target sight is still present, although the flat metal spar is a trifle bent, and the mechanism is tight and fully functional. The walnut grips are in very good shape with an added oil finish over light handling marks and small blemishes. The pistol comes with a correct wooden ramrod and rates good plus-very good condition overall. Antique
