Description:
#4819 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB Second Model 44WCF, 30XXX range (1879 mfgr). Smooth tight action, VG-VG+ bore, being about a 7+ on a scale of 10 and not having any major pitting or deficits of mention, just some light lead build-up. Markings are mostly very good except the caliber markings on the elevator are weak. The wood shows just average wear, bumps, bruises, and no slivers on either the buttstock or forestock. The metal is a nice smooth thin plum mixing to a brownish patina on the barrel and the rear of the frame has some serious good blue remaining. Original dust cover, pinched blade front and rear buckhorn barrel sights. Overall, this is a very decent late1870s Winchester and except for some mentionable bumps and nicks on the edges of the barrel flats, it has an overall very handsome appearance. About VG+ as described. $2495
