VG bore and tight smooth action. This old cannon sure looks to be the typical “buff killer” of that era, as it has both the extra-heavy barrel, the factory fitted Beeches front sight and the elevated tang peep (as well as a buckhorn rear barrel sight). Very fine metal with 80% coverage of a 30% density smooth plum blue-brown barrel patina and liberal traces of frame case coloring. Fine wood with no deficits, VG markings including the matching serial number under the forearm and “TP&B” stampmg, which I believe means “Tang Peep & Beeches”. A very, VERY nice seldom encountered extra-heavy barreled Rolling Block Sporter! Fine O/A $4750 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Antique: Yes |
