JAMES REID .41RF caliber, 2.75” octagonal barrel marked REID’S DERRINGER, Silver-plated finish, engraved frame five-shot cylinder... Per Flayderman’s (8A-154).. This gun is in overall very good to near fine condition displaying the majority of its original silver finish. Good bore and markings. Action needs attention as cocking the gun does not rotate the cylinder.
Of the 75 that were manufactured in 1882, only 6 are known to exist. Beautiful deep engraving on the entire frame and handle. $6100.
