- Note: This is one of the old classic J.C. Higgins model 29 rifles with two-piece walnut stock manufactured by the Hi-Standard Arms Co. for Sears Roebuck. The LOP is 14" over the original J.C. Higgins buttplate. The Buttstock and forestock have been nicely refinished and fitted with QD swivel studs. The aluminum receiver shows annodized wear on high points. There are light scratches on the barrel above the forward magazine tube ferrule. The bore is bright with strong lands and grooves. A great old 22 for the field or tin can plinking!
