This is an 1886 Winchester 2nd year production that is absolutely beautiful! For the discrimination man who appreciates the unique and unusual conversation show piece – this is it. If it were a lettered factory original engraved and inlaid example in this condition – it would be a minimum $70-80 thousand dollar treasure! It has some of nicest deep chisel gamescene and floral engraving I have ever seen. There is over a yard of gold wire inlay alone. The entire receiver – the forened cap – the butt plate and lever are also engraved. The pictures tell the story pretty well. the barrel has several gold wire band accents. The caliber is the exciting Winchester .50 express. It had special sights from front to rear. A globe front – a ladder rear and - a long staff tang sight. All of the modifications have been professionally done after production – but it is all real Winchester from barrel to butt. The finish is about 100%. The engraving is coin finished and it probably a near one of a kind. The action is tight and snappy and works as smoothly as new. It was a piece I thought I would never part with as it was always a joy to behold. Can be shipped direct as an antique. I offer a 3 day non firing inspection for complete satisfaction.
