Description:
Francotte 14E .410 - ABERCROMBIE & FITCH GUN, FACTORY MINT, CASED

General Specs: A&F Francotte, 1958, .410 Gauge, 4 lbs 6 oz ?
Serial Number: 1136

What a fine little wand we have here...a gorgeous Francotte Model 14E built in 1958, sn1136, and all documented as imported and sold by Abercombie & Fitch. Ordered in just the way you see her with the English style stock, .410 bore with 3" chambers, choked IC/M and delivered to a H.P. Bingham, Jr. (we have the bio on Bingham who was from a very wealthy Ohio family who was a frequent customer of Abercombie). This is a finely made Belgium boxlock., the case color, barrel blue, and wood are all in as new condition (buttstock has a few very light handling marks from being afield). The gun weighs just 4lbs. 6oz. and is balanced perfectly between the hands. The screws are perfect and untouched, the ejectors are strong and well timed, and the gun is as tight as you would expect from a new gun. Cased in a nicely made custom case with leather exterior, oak and felt interior with a partial French fit and all of the accessories, this is a beautifully presented piece. What a great little gun to take to break a few clays, chase after some bunnies, or the appropriate upland game. This is the perfect woodcock and quail gun...fast and quick to mount and shoot. Priced to sell, this is a great little investment quality gun. Thanks for looking!
