#4983 Colt S/A 4-3/4”x44WCF (pair), 147XXX, and 152XXX (1892-93), G-VG bores and VG+ actions. I’d really prefer to sell these two Single Actions as a pair because they are so very close in condition with both having heavy usage and wear …but still tight smooth actions. Obviously they have been carried and used a LOT by people who “lived by the gun”. Both have roll-die COLT FRONTIER SIX-SHOOTER barrel logos that are almost completely worn off, both have correct two-line barrel addresses, both have extreme wear to the grips, both have medium pitting scattered over most of the surface …and both have the same overall appearance, for the most part. Overall, just a decent close pair of antique Single Actions that have seen many, many years riding a fence-line on some cowboys hip. They are definitely NOT high finish “dresser drawer Queens”, these two were hard working guns!! …And for those of you who like a good gunfighter story with a gun, listen carefully to the words of the 1970s Marty Robbins song available on this link. youtube/watch?v=L0bcALLEgwI? You can buy both of these colorful little Colts for $4950 for the pair, and they will sure look neat in an old well-worn ‘Texas double loop’ twin holster rig!!
