VG bore that should clean to VG+ (or better) and a tight smooth action. The barrel has a few nicks and bumps just ahead of the rear sight (see photos) and just average bumps and bruises of the last 150 years over the rest of the gun. Basically it has very good wood and has a VERY dimly visible DFC (David F. Clark) inspectors acceptance cartouche in the center of the stock on the left side, barely visible with the naked eye. However, it DOES have some former owners initials cut into the right side and too deep to easily be removed. The metal is also basically VG-Fine with almost no pitting, just having the forementioned dings on the barrel, and with a good imagination (or bad eyesight) you can almost see some faint blue on the barrel and casecolor on the receiver. The markings are mostly visible on the frame but about gone on the barrel due to the arsenal refinishing in the post-CW war years. About VG as described. $2275 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Antique: Yes |
