This is an extremely RARE Police P.38. It is an "AC-43 (FN slide) Eagle F Police". Buxton's Vol. 2 The P.38 Pistol, list this variation as only 1% estimated of ALL the POLICE P.38's procured. Jan Still's Axis Pistols, estimated that total procurement of the AC-43 (FN) Police pistols at 100!. This gun's serial number is listed in those reported in Jan Still's book.
The gun is in excellent condition. A two-tone variation, with blued barrel and phosphated slide and frame. All matching and the bore diameter (8.82) stamped on the bottom of the barrel.
