FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION, CAMP PERRY SINGLE SHOT .22 LR PISTOL, SERIAL NUMBER 145 (NUMBERS BEGAN WITH 100), MADE 1926, This is the 45th standard production pistol made of only about 2500 between 1926 and 1941. This model was the least produced cartridge model of all made by Colt before World War II. Making this one even more interesting and rare is the fact that the very earliest examples were made without the "Camp Perry" marking on the side and this one does not have that marking, 10" barrel with 1926 patent date, checkered steel backstrap, minty bore, fine original blue with gray on the grip straps and barrel sides, checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions, correct adjustable target sights, tight action, all of these are scarce, but the early ones without the Camp Perry" marking especially so!
