Description:
A WW1 1916 British No 22 MK 1 grenade. A cast conical body with a flat head and four slotted projections. This piece is mounted on a 17 1/2" rod with the remnants of cuped copper gas check. This pattern was in service from the spring of 1916 to October of 1916 when the No 22 MK II was introduced. This example is in Relic condition and appears to be a WW1 Battlefield dug up. There is no cover charge or detonator with this example.
