Description:
These glasses are marked M8 on the left ocular which also has an internal graph marked on the left side M8/6 X 30 with scratched "U.S.A." Serial No. U.T. 995 with an olive drab exterior color. In a brown leather carry case marked "Case, Carrying, M. 17" and no "D4460." The case has a "lift the dot" fastener and a leather shoulder strap which is separated. Under the olive paint above the maker's name is "U.S. Army SN 2921 and R.L.B.", probably a WWII US army issue and later transferred to the US Dept of Agriculture. The remnants of a decal says Forrest Service. Clear crisp optics.
