This handsome pistol has matching numbers on the frame, slide (interior), barrel, and muzzle cap with the metal retaining 92-95% of the original blue finish that has silvered slightly along the projecting edges and bearing surfaces, as well as few tiny spots of mild freckling here and there. Extensive Waffenamt proofs are present on the left side of the frame and slide, and there is some further silvering present at the muzzle. The checkered wooden grips are in excellent shape having only minor handling marks and surface blemishes on both panels, the left panel is diagonally cut at the heel to provide clearance for the large lanyard loop. The pistol comes with two “FN/7.65mm” marked magazines (one is numbered to the gun on the floorplate) and is an excellent wartime example of these desirable Browning pistols.
