In 1976 Colt made up a special Bicentennial set of guns consisting of a Colt Dragoon, a Single Action Army, and a Colt Python. They came in a walnut case with drawers and a total of 1,776 were manufactured. This Python comes from one of those sets and is serial numbered 1276PY. It is in excellent, like new condition, retaining all of its original finishes, with only a faint drag line on the cylinder. A very nice looking Python.
