Description:
Rifle is a 62A 22 short gallery rifle with the "WINCHESTER" logo stamped on the left side. The rifle is very rare based on being a gallery with the logo. Unfortunately, when in use in a gallery the receiver end with the barrel was interchanged probably when they were cleaning the guns and consequently this rifle ended up with two different serial numbers. Believe it or not - this was a common occurance. Because these rifles were so heavily used they often had a bullet jam and another bullet would hit the jammed bullet and cause a ring. This rifle had that experience - it has rings and minor barrel bulges where the rings occurred. Generally speaking inspite of these issues the rifle is in good condition and fills a void it you don't have a gallery gun in the old Winchester 62A gallery wiith the LOGO!!! .
