Description:
.32 long r.f. caliber, 5 shot revolver, single action, spur trigger, tip up frame 3 1/2" barrel, finished mostly grey. bird's head grip, fluted cylinder, 90% smooth metal with some pitting. Rosewood grips show normal wear. Strong rifling and mechanically perfect. serial number 98461 - 127.100, manufactured from 1868 - 1875 .
A gun like this was presented by Wild Bill HIckok to his wife Agnes Lake Thatcher when married. Agnes sent this gun to Calamity Jane when Bill died in 1876.
