#747404, Winchester Model 12 - 28 Bore with Pigeon Grade Wood, Deluxe Checkered Pistol Grip Stock & Forend, 26" Vent Rib Installed Post-Winchester, Made in 1937, The back of the frame is clearly stamped "28", The 28 bore was introduced by Winchester in 1935, .548" .005" (Imp.Cyl.), Marked Mod., 2 7/8" chamber, Extended forend with their 3 panel checkering, Pistol Grip stock at 14 1/8 x 1 7/16 x 2 1/4" over the Winchester buttplate with the Winchester name and Trade Mark, 6 Lbs. 15 Oz., Very nice wood with nice color & figure, Nice engraving by a unknown engraver but well cut, The reblue remains at 92%, The wood finish is very nice and is at 96%, The checkering at 100%, The bore is excellent & the barrel is excellent inside & out.
