Description:
Fox CE 20 Gauge SxS Shotgun
PHILLY GUN, 1 OF 400 LEFT ON THE PLANET!

General Specs: Fox, Year 1935, 20  Gauge, 6lb 1oz, Side by Side
Serial Number: 203546

Has anybody noticed?  Where have all the Fox 20ga. Graded guns gone?  A few years back you could cruise the internet or a good gun show and have a dozen choices of A Grade or better 20 ga. guns to choose from.  For the last 4 years I have been searching for Fox small bores and they are gone!  The shooting public caught on to the delightful handling characteristics of the A.H. Fox 20, bought them all up, and they aren't selling them.  When you consider there were only 3400 graded 20ga. Fox guns ever made, IN ALL GRADES, you understand why they are so hard to find.  This fine Fox, sn203546 made in 1935, is 1 of 413 CE 20ga. guns ever made, likely less than 350 left in the world due to loss or damage!  It shipped with 26" IC/M barrels and a 13 7/8" nicely figured stock with a Jotsam Hygun recoil pad.  Just examine the factory order card we have included with the photos and you will see that this gun is just as she was the day she shipped in the way of barrels, chokes, stock, and recoil pad.  Weighing just 6lbs. 1oz. and balanced delightfully in the hands, it shoulders effortlessly for your fast upland birds.  What a great gun for the grouse and woodcock woods, or shooting prairie birds over pointers!  Gun retains all original factory parts and has been beautifully restored to near new condition.  The engraving is clear and sharp, wonderfully done, the wood to metal fit is superb with exceptionally nice figure, checkering sharp, perfect screws, mirror bores...this is not the typical mediocre restoration.  This is one of the finest restored guns I have seen!  The barrels are tight on the breech face and hinge pin like a new gun.  Totally without flaw.  Though a Savage made gun built with Philly parts, it will match quality with any Philly made gun when you look at the details.  It is a delightful bird gun waiting for a new home, and of course with its strong desirability and rarity, it will only go up in value as you enjoy its use.
