EXCELLENT WW2 SPRINGFIELD U.S. M1 OR M-1 GARAND RIFLE DATED 3-44. 100% original and unaltered with all the proper original inspector’s cartouches and stamps. Beautiful condition with all matching parts and nearly all the original parkerized finish. Stock and hand guard with all the original arsenal finish. Crisp “S.A./GAW” rectangular cartouche and fine Ordnance “CROSSED CANNONS” stamp. “P” proof on pistol grip behind trigger guard. No post war alterations. Has seen only well cared for use and is in perfect working order and has a excellent bright bore. Serial number in the 2,6xx,xxx range and correctly dated for March 1944 which is pre D-Day, The Bulge, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. The nicest WW2 Springfield M1 Garand we have had in years. A real G.I. “Bringback”.
