Civil War Naval contact New Models were unmarked as to U.S.N. inspector’s marks but do nave sub-inspector’s marks as does this one with a “C” stamped on the frame and small “Heart” stamp on underside of barrel in front of the ramrod catch. . Fine plus over all with 40-50% blue evenly mixed with patina. Fine original grips with near all the finish. Crisp screws with some original blue.
