Description:
L.W. Pond . 32 rimfire caliber, 6-shot revolver, Civil War era revolver. With the desirable "MANUF'D FOR SMITH & WESSON PAT'D APRIL 3, 1855" markingson a 5” octagon barrel.  This was at a time when S&W was selling all the Smith & Wesson #2 Army revolver they could produce so to fill the gap they had these made. In my opinion this revolver was superior in some way than the S&W. With smooth grey patina finish, Rosewood grips. The barrel surfaces show blue turning to plum brown over the years, with no pitting or erosion. All edges are sharp, and action is very strong and lock up solid. Works perfectly. Grips show some little aging at the edges but generally very good. Serial #1982. All matching on the cylinder, barrel, frame and cylinder pin. Here is a chance to have aperiod correct gun and be different than the crowd.
