Description:
For sale, a very nicely refinished Colt Python with a 4" barrel in .357 magnum made in 1968. This Python also has aftermarket grips with repro Colt medallions. The re-blue job looks to be older and very well done. You can tell that it was not buffed very much at all because the Colt logo and all of the lettering is still deep and sharp. The action locks up extremely tight with zero play in the cylinder. Both the single and double action on this Python is wonderful. The trigger pull is smooth thru the whole range of travel and it breaks cleanly and sharply. The gun does not appear to have been used much at all. The bore is in great shape with strong, sharp rifling. There is no visible pitting underneath the blue finish. There are some spots in the finish where the blue has thinned or the gun was nicked and I did my best to take pictures of these areas. The grips feel great in your hand and they fit the revolver very nicely. They do not have any cracks or damage of any sort. This is a great pistol for someone wanting a Python they can shoot or hunt with and not worry about damaging. With collector-grade Pythons bringing many thousands of dollars, here is your chance to get one that you can actually shoot and enjoy for a fraction of the price!
